Osama Bin Laden

This entry is not to glorify this man in any way shape, form, or fashion. It is a thought and perhaps a message. While the nation celebrates I can't help but to wonder what reprecussions his death will have. The USA does have other enemies outside of Bin Laden and what are those other enemies thinking? Take China for example. Will this be a sign to them that the USA is such a world power that they may face its wrath if they disagree with the USA? If the US oppose another nation, does that mean we will attack and kill? I personally don't celebrate death. I think that is for God to choose life and death. I am not sad for him but I am not overjoyed either. With so many signs and signs and signs of the "end times" so prevalent these days, I think we should put the party hats away and focus on what it all means in the grand scheme of things.

Legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor has died at age 79 of congestive heart failure.

Her son released this statement on his mothers passing:

"My Mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humor, and love. Though her loss is devastating to those of us who held her so close and so dear, we will always be inspired by her enduring contribution to our world. Her remarkable body of work in film, her ongoing success as a businesswoman, and her brave and relentless advocacy in the fight against HIV/AIDS, all make us all incredibly proud of what she accomplished. We know, quite simply, that the world is a better place for Mom having lived in it. Her legacy will never fade, her spirit will always be with us, and her love will live forever in our hearts."

RIP Elizabeth

You will notice I didn't make the first New Year's resolution and there is a reason why. No one seems to be able to keep them past a week especially me so why make 'em. I am just so thankful to see another year and excited to find out what happens in it. I am sitting here nursing an ulcer (at least that is my suspect) and it don't feel good at all, in fact it hurts like hell!!! The last bout with this lasted for months, I lost 20lbs. and was finally throwing up everyday all day! I could use the weight loss but the rest can go. My son told me the other day to lay my hands on my stomach and repeat "by His stripes I am healed" and I did and I like that. Yes, by His stripes I am indeed healed. Still today I ache. So I am taking it easy. For those of you who happen upon my blog (not by error) pray for a speedy recovery and I mean PRAY! I do appreciate it alot. I am back to work tomorrow and the forecast is sleet, snow and Ice. Wow! I really do need the days and this is my long week ( 6 straight days) but if the weather is too bad then well...too bad! I got a blog thought too pertaining to my job but that is for another day. I love you all and remember to give God the Glory!

ALL Have Sinned

We Have All Fallen Short...lets read scripture!

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

For all have sinned, and do need the glory of God.

Don't that say a mouth full..this is two interpretations of Romans 3:23. It is the first time I saw the second version but it speaks loud and clear to me.

I was reading about a few "tv" preachers who have recently fallen from grace (at least fallen in man's eye) and the naysayers have had a field day speaking on it. I found very little from the christian community, perhaps we are afraid of what we are thinking and feeling. So I thought I would blog it on my own blog spot and give a voice to a layman's point of view.

The Word of God is true and is infallible. That is the bottom line weather you believe or not. Non-belief has not changed the Word of God yet and it will not. Neither does changing its interpretation. So we know it is true that we all have failed and fallen short of His glory. We know because we know our own secrets and failings and most of the time we are glad that no one else knows but God and yourself. Amen? Amen. So then when we see someone fail, why are we so quick to condemn and sent a soul off to hell when God Himself didn't do that to us?

I am not going to address any one rumor or event on any preacher nor person because it is not necessary, we all can see the news and certainly we hear rumors. So we won't go there. Nevertheless when we sin, God is faithful to forgive us. He can restore us to Himself. There is no sin that is beyond His reach except blasphemy. I am not an advocate of sin but we have got to stop condemning and begin healing, praying and lifting a brother or sister up in prayer. If the rumors are true and a man or woman of God has sinned or (as my grandmother would say "got above they raisings) then we are to reach out to that one in love. Yes show them where they have erred (they know already) and help to lead them back to Christ.

I offer my brothers and sisters understanding and I am not here to judge. I pray that the blood of Jesus Christ will wash, renew and give redemption where its applied. I pray that He raises your voices again for the world to hear. I pray your faith and love for Jesus is always intact and in operation. Jesus loves you, me and all of us. Thank you Jesus for grace, mercy and love.
